Kids

My children are beautiful, amazing, wonderful little gifts from God. I often hold them close and hope they don’t grow up too soon. Yet at other times… [Ususally while in public, wishing I could hide under a table] I just take a few deep breaths and tell myself, I can do this. I can make it. It’s only 17 more years…

  1. Isn’t it totally amazing how you can have a horrible afternoon with your kid(s), they are pushing limits, telling you no, hitting the dog, destroying the kitchen and standing on the edge of the bathtub to color up just a little higher, and yet . . . When you give them their bath and they are wrapped in their towel, you see once again how small they are. How they still rely on you. When she stretches out her arms to “hold you” and cries when I leave, she tears at my heart, how could I live without this little person’s love and laughter everyday? No, I cannnot imagine my life without her. It would be gray. I’m so glad she fills it with shades of pinks and yellows and such! To help me remember how much fun it is to play pretend and see the wonder of a car wash! Instead of ignoring all the little things around us!
