Tough Questions

Jeremiah saw the hurricane devastation on TV. A family was being rescued from their roof. I told him he needed to pray. He asked, “Who in Heaven is big enough to help? God, Jesus, or the other one?”

  1. I love your kids and their questions. It reminds me of a story Michelle told me about Amanda.

The other day Michelle felt led to stop and pick up a woman who was carrying a bunch of grocery bags. In the course of their conversation on the way to the woman’s home, it came across that the woman’s car was broken.

After the lady got out of the care, Michelle turned to the kids in the back seat and said “We need to pray that God will help Mary* fix her car.”

Amanda said “Can Daddy fix it?”

It was significant to me that there does come a point where we have to say, God I know you can do this, but do you want to use me to do it?
