Angry Emails

I got this rant in my email tonight. It was written by someone who won’t blog it because she has a mission statement saying she will keep her Web site uplifting and positive… Um, Yeh… I don’t have any such mission statement… So I’ll post her email here:

“I am angry. Why would they not have a plan. Some sort of plan for this event. Why is it day 4 and they are just barely getting help? I would think if you are going to build your city in such an idiotic place you would have some training, some form of emergency communication some way to organize some sort of help. It is not some major surprise that this happened, I remember when we were little that they talked about this happening to NO some day. Why did hundreds of people die cause they couldn’t get there in time? What country are we living in? Is there not equipment that we have available that could fly in and save these people, bring them water before they start shooting. Why only 2500 National Guard sent in on the second day? Did they not see the same pictures I did? Sure more help is coming in tonight and lots will be there tomorrow but that doesn’t do much good for those that died today.”

P.S. The writer said, “Verify first how many national guard there were, wouldn’t want to rant a number I heard on the news. The news is always wrong. Clarifly that it was a late night ranting email.”

Ok, it’s late, I’m not going to clarify the numbers. Any of you want to check on that for us? Maybe tomorrow.

  1. Feeling much better this morning, perhaps because I haven’t turned the news on yet. It would be better if I left it off, but I feel bad turning it off, they can’t turn it off. They have to look at it all day long. Some have to look at it for the rest of their shortened lives.
