The view from our room via Joel’s cell phone camera.
We got to St. Louis around 9:30 p.m. On our way into the city, Jeremiah called the Arch an imagination rainbow. The kids decided that it looked very slippery. We checked into our room, accidentally over tipped the bell boy and then went for a walk downtown. Sarah was impressed with the white horses pulling carriages down the street. Jeremiah is scared of the arch. He didn’t want to touch it. He definitely didn’t want to go to the top! That is until I explained that we would be inside the arch, not outside. That was comforting news for Jeremiah… though I think it kind of disappointed the more adventurous Sarah.
My family just returned from the gift shop. They paid 3.50 for two bottles or soda… craziness. Oh man, they just discovered the TV. There goes my peaceful vacation.
I’m glad we brought the kids with us instead of finding a babysitter. The city is more fun when seen in the eyes of two preschoolers.
I’m tired. It’s 11:35 and our pizza isn’t here yet. The rest of my family napped today. They’re ready to party. I’m ready to sleep!

“imagination rainbow” — I *love* it. What a perfect description.
