Riverbanks Zoo

We got in to the zoo for free by using the Dickerson Park Zoo membership that Dave and Kelly gave us.  We spent three and half hours at the zoo and had a wonderful time.  Penguins, elephants, lorikeet, ponies, a carousel, a tram and beautiful gardens.  I can’t wait to go back.  Next time I’m taking a picnic and going hiking.

Keeping her safe
Jeremiah was worried about riding on the tram.  There were no car seats or doors and it went fast down curvy roads and over a bridge.  He held Sarah tight to keep her safe.

Bird Lady
They sell a cup of nectar for one zoo buck.  The kids wouldn’t get close… Jeremiah tossed his cup pretty quickly.  Then Jer and Joel watched from a window while Sarah took a turn… She quickly handed me the cup and stood back while the several lorikeet landed on my head.

Jeremiah on zebra
Riding a pony wasn’t exotic enough?  How about a zebra?

  1. Cool zoo. Cool pics. Waiting for a pick of the kitty cat cookie. Guess the fact that I could get into the SC zoo for free would make up for all the money it would take to get there?

  2. I couldn’t help but let out a big “awwww!” at the pic of Jeremiah holding on to Sarah! That is the sweetest thing.
