Now would probably be a good time for you to suggest a few F5 verses…
Here’s a list of all of the ones I’ve posted so far. I’ll try to keep it updated.
2 Corinthians 1:3-7
who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble
with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
Psalm 31
in the LORD.
Psalm 32:7
me from trouble."
Psalm 71
never be put to shame…
Romans 8:15
you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.
Romans 9:33
to shame.
Zechariah 4:6
Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.

Here are a few I am chewing on today:
JOhn 4:13-14– Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Psalm 130:5–I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.
Ephesians 6:10,15–A final word: Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared.(NLT)
Psalm 42 (really it’s the whole thing, but that would be too long, so here is the last verse–
Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
Habakkuk 3:19–The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.

Oh you knew the Ephesians shoes one would do the trick. I still have to blog about that. I see you’re going to blog about the sermon too.

But even there, if you seek God, your God, you’ll be able to find him if you’re serious, looking for him with your whole heart and soul.
When troubles come and all these awful things happen to you, in future days you will come back to God, your God, and listen obediently to what he says.
God, your God, is above all a compassionate God. In the end he will not abandon you, he won’t bring you to ruin, he won’t forget the covenant with your ancestors which he swore to them.
Deut. 4:29-31 (MSG)

But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath. Deut 4:29-31 (NIV)

Somehow, I just knew you weren’t going to leave the MSG version alone.
