We drove to Texas yesterday. My Papa’s memorial service is this afternoon.

Since we weren’t planning on “coming home” for Christmas this year, I didn’t buy Christmas presents for anyone. And here we are. We’ll exchange gifts with my family tonight… and I didn’t bring anything to give.

I just couldn’t get caught up in Christmas shopping this year.

“Caught up in Christmas shopping.” That reminds me of a little shopping Judi and I did on Monday night.

After inspecting a large towel at Bed Bath and Beyond, Judi folded the bath sheet and tried to shove it back into place on the giant wall ‘o towels… Unfortunately, she had folded her long scarf in too. She was stuck, hung by her own search for the perfect gift. Of course I could have helped my dear friend… Or I could laugh uncontrollably and take photos for my blog. Well what would you have done?
