A letter to my daughter in the future:
Dear Sarah,
My little girl. You’re all grown up now. You’re a mommy. You have a little one of your own. You just told me how my PRECIOUS little grandchild terrorized you at the grocery store.
Oh the horror!
Surely the End was near. You called out to the canned goods and the boxes, “Fall on me and hide me from the face of him who sits in the shopping cart and from the wrath of the toddler!”
Exhausted and ashamed that your child could behave so badly in public, you came to me for comfort.
And I laughed.
I laughed and laughed and laughed. When I finally caught my breath, I pointed you to this letter, written so many years ago. And I loving said,
“WE’RE EVEN!”

OMG I love it! I too am looking forward to that day.
