Joel has gotten news about three of the jobs that he has applied for. He is being considered for positions in DC, New Jersey, and Texas.

We met with a realtor today. She walked through the house and made a few suggestions about what we should do to get it ready to sell. Jeremiah and Sarah acted horrible… no… HORRIBLE. Well, some of it was creative terror. They played harmonicas as loudly as possible as they followed Darla through the house. Finally I realized what was going on. I took Jeremiah aside and confronted him… He admited to me that they were acting badly because they didn’t want to sell the house. This was a planned, well organized attack! After I figured that out, their behavior greatly improved.

I have had broadband, always on, instant gratification, high speed Internet access for almost six years. Dial-up before that.

If I have a question, Google immediately has the answer.

I have questions this morning… I want to look up info about Southwestern AG University. I want to search for apartments and churches near our possible new home. I need to look up some info about rates of return on different home improvement projects.

I am powerless. Amy Maxwell your friendly neighborhood computer geek, the Queen of Search, has been cut off from the outside world.

On the trip from Georgia to Missouri, we had to put a large suitcase between the kids in the back seat. They could talk to one another, but they only saw each other when we got out of the truck.

As Jeremiah ate French fries, he rubbed his eyes with the salty oil on his hands. He yelled out, “I got a French fry in my eye!”

Sarah couldn’t see her brother but she could imagine what he might look like with a big yellow French fry in his eye. She fought back uncontrollable giggles for half an hour. She giggled only more when I made up ridiculous-funny-to-only-three-year-old rhymes about the incident.

“Don’t Cry when you get a French Fry in your Eye!” “Why, Why is there a French Fry in your Eye?” She told me that if you cry when you have a French fry in you eye, the fry will soak up the crying… OK then. Later I looked back and caught her pretending to take a large imaginary French fry out of her own eye.

After sleeping until 9 in South Carolina for the last three months, Sarah immediately adjusted to the time zone and returned to her normal routine of waking me up at 7:15. Instead of explaining that really it’s 6:15 mommy time, and I went to sleep only a few hours ago, I decided to get back into my morning routine too.

But you see, I can’t. I don’t have Internet access. Bloglines, Gmail, Google News… Somebody call me if the world ends.

I can’t find the things I need. So I get frustrated and want to… blog about it. :) I’m addicted to you dear Internet.

As I finished typing that last sentence I became aware of the song playing in the background:

You’re all I want.
You’re all I’ve ever needed.
Help me know you are near.

Ahh nice to have a little perspective with my morning cup of coffee.

God, you’re all I need.

Um… do you offer an RSS feed or WIFI?

Tamara left flowers on our dining room table. She also stocked the fridge and pantry with a few of our favorite things. Do you have friends who know each random food item that you find essential? You should. You need friends who come over so much they’ve memorized the contents of your fridge and the most important items on your grocery list.
