Wings and Coffee

You all know of my love for coffee… but how many are aware of my longtime buffalo wing obsession?

As I searched for the perfect cup of joe, I began to roast my own coffee beans at home. It’s cheaper and much better in the long run.

Here we go again.

Now that we have a small eating out budget, I can’t get my weekly wing fix. So I’ve started cooking the wings at home. I think I have the frying process perfected. [I had that fryer for 11 years before deciding to actually use it. Thanks to who ever gave me that wedding present.] I tried Ott’s Wing sauce for lunch. Yeh. Wow. That was hotter than I expected. I called my dad to say goodbye. Because the wings were going to kill me. Of course I ate them all anyway.

Tonight I’m going to make a batch with Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic sauce. Oh yeh! But that sauce is pricey. So I’m going to have to start making my own sauce. Do you have any favorite recipes?

  1. If you can find it, try Frank’s Hot Sauce. It has excellent flavor and it isn’t quite as hot as some of the other sauces. The recipe is on the bottle! It’s my favorite Hot Sauce, period!

  2. I have most of a gallon of Frank’s Red Hot in my fridge. I’ll bring you some next week.

  3. Oh, and I coat them with the sauce, shake off extra sauce and bake in a single layer at 350 for 30 minutes then take them out and toss with more sauce. Yummy and hot.

  5. Wings by themselves or maybe with a Coke are great, but wings and coffee? That wouldn’t be on my list of favorite combinations.

  6. I wasn’t going to to have them at the same time. I’m just comparing the obsessions.

Hmm… how about coffee based sauce for the wings?

  7. Doesn’t that restaurant on Battlefield- Buffalo Wild Wings have like 39 cent wings on Tues nights? We went once- it wasn’t so cheap once we had to order the kids meals and drinks. Although, I wonder if they do take out……then you would only have to pay for the wings and have the sides and drinks at home.

  8. BWW has wings for 35 cents on Tuesdays. You can order as little as 5 at a time. They do have takeout.

On Monday’s, they have .99 cent kid meals. Last week they let me buy one without buying an adult meal. I’m not sure if that is normal though.

    The kid meals are great.
