Life is random, so is my blog.

Hi Mommy!

Today I sat in the very front of a church sanctuary and watch my son’s second preschool program. This one was an early Mother’s Day program. How cool is that? Very cool.

Jeremiah was so excited about a surprise song they were going to sing. His eyes lit up as they started to sing all about how they love their mommy’s. He totally looked in my eyes and sang that song directly to me. What a sweet little guy! [I asked him to sing it to me again later this evening... He sang a different mommy song he made up instead. Something about mommy walking in a puddle and getting stuck in the mud then getting bit by an alligator.]

Joel got a little attention too. During a brief pause in the presentation, Jeremiah stood up and yelled, “Hello Daddy!”… TWICE. He waved and said, “Hi Mommy” several times too but since I was sitting in the front he didn’t have to stand up and yell quite so loud.

After the program, I was greeted by my little man and led to a special seat at a table marked by a place mat that he had written my name on. I guess they were supposed to write “Mommy” but he didn’t know how to spell that. So he just wrote, “Amy.” Later his teacher told him how to spell Mom so he added that too. After making sure I had found my seat, Jeremiah politely asked what I would like to eat. He went and got each of us a plate of snacks and drinks. As we enjoyed our cookies, we talked to Jer’s friend and her mom.
