Criminal Justice Cookbook

Cooking Cops

How fun is this? A photo of Chief* and Jack* cooking up some tasty dishes for one of our favorite local organizations.

Today’s Springfield News-Leader has an article about a new cookbook with recipes from our friends in law enforcement. Even better, the cookbook is a fundraiser for the Evangel University Criminal Justice Club.

“Great Recipes from Southwest Missouri Criminal Justice Agencies” can be purchased direct from the behavioral sciences office on the Evangel campus for $10 or can be ordered ($3 additional for shipping and handling) by calling 865-2815, Ext. 8613 or online at cirtinr@evangel.edu.”

Here are a few of the recipes.

* “Chief” is Gene Thomlinson (left), director of security at Evangel University.
* Jack Merritt (center), Greene County Sheriff.

Update: The man on the right is Springfield Police Chief Lynn Rowe… so I guess he’s called “Chief” too.

  1. That is funny - I work with Bob and if anyone can sell a cookbook, he can.
(I typed up the scripture) :-)

  2. Saw the ad for the cookbook on the Food Channel site and was wondering if you have any more copies available?
