I got a haircut. It’s really short. One of those Oh-well-it-will-grow-out kind of haircuts… sigh.

My car is totaled! Thursday’s rear-end collision did over 9,000 dollars worth of damage. Ouch…
So I was trying to think of a way to pay for seminary… and then it hit me. ;)

Seriously, I’ll be looking for a really cheap car to replace the busted Bonneville. [Sigh. I really liked that car.]

In related news, please keep me in your prayers. I’m still not feeling well. Head and neck pain etc.

I’m starting a new ministry at Central Assembly. I think my official ‘title’ will be Director of Military Ministry… Cool now I have two weeks to figure out what that means! Very exciting.

Also, I’ll probably be taking “The Oath” during a church service at Central. So of course, you’re all invited. And of course… I don’t have any idea when that will take place. Some Sunday when Joel is home, I guess.

If you know someone with a female officer Class A uniform I could borrow please let me know. [P.S. It would probably be good if that person is like.... Oh... short.]

Good Morning! Long time readers may recognize that I don’t normally post at 6:40 in the morning. In fact, I’m much more likely to write to you at 3:30 am.

Ahh… Life has changed. School has started and life as we knew it is over. No longer can Jeremiah and I stay up till 12:30 talking about… everything. Now that boy has to go to bed! And so do I.

We’re still adjusting to this new life of ours. Still working on the routine. Still mourning our freedom. Suddenly the word “Saturday” has new meaning! Why? Because Everyday is no longer a Saturday. Now they only come once a week…

I got an email from Chaplain VanLaan saying that my name came back approved by the Secretary of Defense and my packet has moved to the Appointments Branch at St Louis. So I should receive my Oath in the next couple of weeks.

Then I will officially be an US Army Chaplain Candidate… and there will be much rejoicing. :)

And maybe Pizza.

One year ago today, I posted this:

Jeremiah saw the hurricane devastation on TV. A family was being rescued from their roof. I told him he needed to pray. He asked, “Who in Heaven is big enough to help? God, Jesus, or the other one?”

Today was my first day of classes at the seminary. I’m enrolled full time! Good day. Tired. Still not feeling 100%. I’ll try to write more later.

I misplaced my cell phone. I knew I was just using it… search, search, search. Nothing. I couldn’t call it, I don’t have another phone here.

Perfect solution:

Use the Test Drive feature at Iping.com

Iping is a Web site where you can get wakeup calls and reminders sent to your phone. The service comes with a fee… but the test drive doesn’t.

Just enter your phone number and they’ll call you immediately. Ahh Ha! There it is.

Jeremiah and I are up and racing toward the rest of our lives… Kindergarten!

Seminary starts tomorrow. He says he beats me because he gets to go every day. I only get to go once a week. It’s true. He wins. They get crayons, P.E. and chocolate milk.
