  1. Ok, who’s the Internet Stalker?

  2. Hi Amy, I don’t think I’ve commented before. I’m on the RevGals ring and been reading faithfully since July. My Little Sprout is 5 so I can really relate to the family stories and I’ve been inspired as you’ve moved forward in your call.

  4. Hi Amy, I have commented once or twice but not extensively. I have been reading you daily for about 3 months and I have even been through 95% of your archives. I found your blog while searching for bloggers from Springfield and the surrounding area.

I moved up here in January and don’t have much of a social life yet. Once I stumbled across GentleWhisper I became entranced with how human you are and how sweet your kids and family are.

I know you don’t know me at all, but I feel almost like I do know you. I wish we had the opportunity to know each other in real life because I think I would really benefit from being a part of your world. I guess that sounds kinda weird. Sorry.

  5. Wow, thanks Roseyhrh!

    I felt a little sub-human today so that’s a real pick-me-up. ;)

  6. Hey Amy! Sometimes I feel like I am intruding in your life- especially since I never actually see you around anymore (MOPS this year?). But this poll is cool- I didn’t realize how many “internet friends” one can have just by having a blog online…

    Comment by Letty — October 7, 2006 @ 12:24 am

  7. Hey Letty, you’re always welcome here. I’ve missed you. No MOPS for me this year. I have classes on Tuesday mornings.

This blog, and certain email groups have brought me wonderful friendships. And not just online acquaintances… but true life long friends.

  8. I found you by finding Joel, via the http://www.livinglikenooneelse.com and TMMO sites. I entered the tee shirt slogan contest… I’m married and homeschool four girls ages 6 – 15), and have enjoyed reading your stuff!

  9. Well I’m the internet stalker, of course! LOL I thought for sure you’d know it was me.

  10. Now, I assumed it was you Patti. But… now look there’s another.

I should have been more specific:

    A. Friendly Internet Stalker

    B. Internet Stalker sworn to harm your family, slash your tires and egg your house.

  11. Hi Amy,
I have been reading your blog for about a month or so. My husband is in the process of becoming an army chaplain. He will attend CHOBC in June so I look forward to reading about your adventures in CHOBC! Andrea

  17. I found this site through Joel’s through Dave Ramsey site. I have a 5yo girl and 3yo boy. My 3yo is actually puppy according to him, although he is finally becoming a boy – thank goodness. Barking is one thing buy the puppy whining is awful. When I saw you were proud mother of a kitty I was astonished it wasn’t some terrible parental thing I did or didn’t do.

My dh was gone for most of a year last year and I understand the heartbreak of your upcoming deployment. He went to New Orleans after Katrina and it is there, as a low-tier subcontractor that we came to the brink of bankruptcy losing over $1million and now owing $685k change, but who is counting. Well we do, every cent on our spreadsheet and in our folders.

I work full-time, go to school part time, we are active in our parish. Your insights into motherhood mirror my own experiences and I don’t feel so alone with you and Joel fighting some of the same battles as we.

  18. Wow, thanks for introducing yourself Beth! It’s comforting knowing someone else out there is dealing with the same CRAZY stuff.

P.S. Whining Kitty Cats are much worse than meowing ones. I’m glad you understand. Well, actually… I’m sorry. ;)
