I found this site through Joel’s through Dave Ramsey site. I have a 5yo girl and 3yo boy. My 3yo is actually puppy according to him, although he is finally becoming a boy – thank goodness. Barking is one thing buy the puppy whining is awful. When I saw you were proud mother of a kitty I was astonished it wasn’t some terrible parental thing I did or didn’t do.

My dh was gone for most of a year last year and I understand the heartbreak of your upcoming deployment. He went to New Orleans after Katrina and it is there, as a low-tier subcontractor that we came to the brink of bankruptcy losing over $1million and now owing $685k change, but who is counting. Well we do, every cent on our spreadsheet and in our folders.

I work full-time, go to school part time, we are active in our parish. Your insights into motherhood mirror my own experiences and I don’t feel so alone with you and Joel fighting some of the same battles as we.

Hi Amy, I have commented once or twice but not extensively. I have been reading you daily for about 3 months and I have even been through 95% of your archives. I found your blog while searching for bloggers from Springfield and the surrounding area.

I moved up here in January and don’t have much of a social life yet. Once I stumbled across GentleWhisper I became entranced with how human you are and how sweet your kids and family are.

I know you don’t know me at all, but I feel almost like I do know you. I wish we had the opportunity to know each other in real life because I think I would really benefit from being a part of your world. I guess that sounds kinda weird. Sorry.
