All I want for Christmas is…
an Amazon Gift Certificate.
Oh and pizza… but that’s always a given.
And maybe for the WindFM to stop playing Christmas music 24 hours a day… please?

I can completely sympathize. This is the only time of year that I frequent the other stations in town. I love Christmas, and even a lot of Christmas music, but what is wrong with throwing in a regular Contemporary Christian song every now and then? Oh and don’t even get me started on playing “Here Comes Santa Claus” and “Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer multiple times in under an hour. And it’s not even December!!!

Thanks Ravenbrk,
It helps to know someone else understands.
I’m wearing out the batteries on my mp3 player because I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

I just wrote an email to Ben Birdsong…
“I just read your Clean Air Christmas Q&A. I’m happy to read that your listenership doubles during the holiday season. That’s awesome.
However you are also losing listeners. I’ve had several people tell me they have to find a different radio station during November and December.
I tried to find a substitute radio station to hold me over until January. But I can’t find anything as great as your normal programing. Nothing comes close to filling the the place The Wind normally fills.
Your station makes every day better… 46 weeks out of the year.
But I can’t take the Christmas music. Bah Humbug.
I’ve had to buy extra batteries for my MP3 player… And when they die off, I just drive in silence and wonder… “Is it over yet?”

What did he say? Because I totally agree! I wish they would throw in a couple of CCM songs every once in awhile too!

He said very nice things… then gave me a free Jeremy Camp CD to hold me over until December 26.

What is with all the free stuff you manage to get? That’s so cute.

Free Stuff? I don’t even mention half of it!
I still haven’t mentioned the honey sticks or the books. Which by the way I have an extra if you want it. Book… not honey stick.

‘fess up, Amy. Where you getting all these fabulous samples & freebies? Honey Sticks! Espresso Concentrate! Just show me where…
Comment by ravenbrk — November 29, 2006 @ 12:29 pm
The Espresso Concentrate I won… though I don’t remember how.
The honey sticks were given to my children by the owner of Honey Heaven. I took them in to buy the honey as a prize for using ‘honey words’ all day. They told the owner and she was so proud of them she wouldn’t let me pay. Sweet woman.
Oh and the free book that the UPS man JUST brought to my door… I got that because I’m a blogger and I agreed to write a review.

If you’ve grown weary of that Jeremy Camp CD, you may be interested to note that the Clean Air Christmas FAQ seems to have disappeared from The Wind’s web site and they are now mixing in one “preview of what you’ll hear after christmas on The Wind” song every hour or two.

A friend told me they were throwing in a regular song now and then… she blamed it on me in fact.
