Google Maps adds Multiple Destinations

Last week, I sadly stared at my computer screen… wishing that Google Maps would let me get directions with multiple destinations…

Today I read this post at Lifehacker and found that my dreams have come true.

Need to know the best way to get from Texas to South Carolina with a stop over in Springfield, Mo?
[Ok probably not.]

Texas to Fort Jackson

Go to Google Maps.
Click on Get Directions.
Add your starting place and the next destination.
Click on Get Directions Button.
Below your directions click on the new “Add Destination…” link.
Type in your next destination
Click the Add Destination button.

Keep doing this until you’re a happy, happy traveler.

Oh and if you enter the destinations in the wrong order, you can drag them into the right place.
[On the directions list... not the map.]

P.S.
If you know of a better way for me to get there… adjust this map and give us a link in the comments.

  1. OK. I have changed the map twice, but can’t seem to link the change. My suggestion is adding Hopkinsville. It adds a few hours, but. . .

Just let me know. I don’t have definite plans yet.

  2. Ok, you have to click on the “Link to this page” link on the upper right hand corner of the new map. Then copy the new address and post it.

I’m tempted to add Hopkinsville. Call me.

  3. Is this what you were going to suggest?
Texas to Springfield to Hopkinsville to Fort Jackson

    That only adds 22 minutes…

  4. Oh, I must have looked at it wrong. Yep, that was my suggested addition.
