PT Update

PT. Physical Training… or the lack thereof.

As my seminary assignments pressed upon me, I neglected my work out routine. Determined to prepare for CHOBC, I started to really hit it hard when the semester ended. It’s not working out so well.

As I type this, I have an ice pack tied to my ankle for the second day in a row. I can barely walk. I should be running not limping. I sip hot tea to sooth a persistent sore throat and I wonder what medicine would be best to treat a stubborn chest cold. Turns out not being able to breath kind of slows me down when I’m running.

CHOBC is less than three weeks away. I need some prayer. At this point, supernatural intervention seems to be the only solution.

  1. I’ll be praying for you, Amy. I would also recommend lots and lots of vitamin C. I find Emergen-C drink packets (healthfood store or wal-mart) to be a good way to get it, but for sore throats you might want to go with chewables instead. Zinc would be good for your throat and cold, too, but definitely C.

  3. Hey! I just tried the Emergen-C drink packs and I like them. Perhaps it’s psychological, but I seem to feel better immediately. Haven’t tried zinc, but I will. All of you who will pray for Amy, please pray for me. I’m almost in the same condition (minus the ankle).

  4. Airbourne is also good. Sorry you are feeling yucky. Praying for you. Just make sure you give your ankle time to heal. If you push it you’ll just reinjure youself.
