Have I told you about my college Life Time Fitness class? That’s Evangel’s required physical fitness class known by students as The Running Class.
I got my first B in college in 1996 because I got a D on the run. Ten years later, I can close my eyes and see myself on that track… falling behind… gasping for breath… failing something for the first time.
I leave for Army Chaplain Officer Basic in one week.

Hilarious! I got my first B in tennis. At least we won’t be playing tennis at CHOBC–I hope!

Amy - et al…
You all will do just fine. They aren’t out to get you. Well, most of them aren’t out to get you. Well, a few of them aren’t out to get you…
Seriously, if I can make it through, you’ll do fine.

Amy - sounds like you’re involved in some anticipatory worry. Well, I guess all worry is anticipatory - let’s try not to do that. It won’t be nearly as hard as you’re imagining. I’ll be praying every day that you run with the ease of a gazelle.

Hey Amy,
That class was first thing in the morning, 7:30, I think, I got a B in that class, too - it was the first one as well for me - ha!
I went on to run with my hubby and alone in those 5K races in Springfield - go figure. My chant was, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” - love you, girl!

The best thing about PT at CHOBC is that it is at 0530 - with you usually reporting at 0515. Yeah!
Unless you get into the “special populations” or remedial PT - and then you do it in the morning and in the evening!
