All I want for my birthday is a hug from my husband. That’s it. That’s all I want.
I’ve been pretty excited about turning 30, but now that it’s only two hours away, I’m disappointed. He won’t be here. Of course we’ve known for months that he wouldn’t be here. But that doesn’t make me miss him any less.
I do miss him. That’s one reason I stopped posting as much as I used to. Because the only thing I can usually think of to say is, “I miss him.”

Happy Birthday!! I’m so sorry that I missed sending you something for your party. Have a Happy Easter as well and remember why we celebrate, because as Gabbie is good to remind you, “Jesus is ALIVE!” (It was great at the DMV the other day when someone asked her about the easter bunny and then she ran around saying loudly, “Jesus is alive! Jesus is alive!” Glad that she absorbed that!)
