How Sad for the Kids!!!!!!! My Dad passed away 11 years ago in May and I had done good today with Handling it being Fathers Day Until I read your Blog. I am crying like a Baby now. And I just turned 43 Yesterday. What really makes it bad is the Year he passed away my Birthday was on Fathers Day. And that happens every 6 Years.
Know that your Whole Family is in my Prayers. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

How tough for the little folks - they serve just as much as their Dads and Moms.

Praying for you and your family. It was a bit tough when they had a special time in our church service for dads. We were visiting a church and the pastor knew about my husband being gone to training (since I visited Wednesday night and asked for prayer) and made mention of my twins not being able to be with their dad today. It made me start crying. I felt that it was a special gift from God for him to mention them and then one lady came up and prayed for us - a complete stranger - since her son is in the military and she understood what we were going through. I pray people are ministering to you today! Love, Laura

It is a complicated uncomfortable call... but he makes us adequate for that which he calls us to.

I've found... not doing what He calls us to do is even more uncomfortable.

Oh, that makes me so sad, and just further complicates this calling I feel in my life to join the chaplaincy. God sure likes us to stretch our comfort zone, no?
