Rachel and I were just talking about boyfriends making mix tapes for us years ago… When Joel was going to college in Springfield, and I was in high school in Oklahoma… he’d dedicate songs to me on KADI and record them and send me the tape.
Today, he emailed me this music video.

I am a huge Avril Lavigne fan (I know it isn’t normal; but I like her music). I happened to be watching MTV’s TRL on AFN (only because it comes on before the Daily Show and Colbert Report and I can’t miss those) when this video came on.
They didn’t show the whole video and it took me two hours to download it; I just now finished downloading. I’m glad it had a happy ending; that would have been really sad if it didn’t

Oh, how sweet of him to do that. I bet you cried!
Praying for you and your family!

Loved it. Makes me think more of the future and life without my own hubby.

Hey Amy! Thanks for stopping by my blog and reconnecting – it was great to hear from you! I hadn’t heard this song yet or seen the video but I really liked it. Thanks for sharing! Avril’s song “Keep Holding On” was one of the ones my husband put on my iPod before he left, and it’s kind of been our theme song for this deployment. Please feel free to email me any time if you need to vent. We are more than 2/3 of the way through with ours, and it still doesn’t get any easier. There are good days and bad but I’m thankful for each because one reminds me I can do this, and the other reminds me how much I would rather do this with him than without.
