Hello friends,
I’m preparing to write a paper on Unitarian Universalism. If you walk too closely to me in the library, sit by me in a hospital waiting room, or talk too long on the phone you’re destined to hear about this religious group.
Feel free to add your insight and suggested resources in the comments section. ESPECIALLY if you’re an Unitarian Universalism chaplain or minister. I’d like to add a section in the paper about how to provide religious support for UUs… I’d also like to know what UU Army Chaplains think about wearing the cross on their uniform.
P.S. Pestered friends, if you’re terribly tired of hearing about UUs… hold on. Next week I’m going to talk of nothing but Church history. [Which conveniently has a lot to do with this paper too...]

Funny- my grandfather is actually an ordained minister for the Unitarian Universalist church. He is 85 now…and very involved in the Green Political party. I have never really had any religious conversations with him- he nows I am A/G but I think religion is that big purple hippo that is the room we just never discuss. I have honestly never really researched the religion. I only know that they are humanistic and don’t believe in the diety of Christ. So, I would love to read your paper! I do know for my father, being a UU PK, totally turned him off all religion (and Christianity). He seems to be softening though…..

Have you seen this blog: http://www.peacebang.com/? It’s written by an entertaining and sincere lady who is a UU pastor in Massachusetts, I believe. Before reading her material, I knew nothing about UU, and it is clear that there are serious discrepancies between my Pentecostal beliefs and hers, but her sincerity does come through. I just thought the information or contact with her might be useful to you.
God Bless!

Oh I forgot about PeaceBang being a UU… I just remember her telling me not to wear jeans to church.
I should email her. Thanks!
