"Amen," means "may it be so." When we say it though, it usually means "all done," so when praying out loud someone knows we're finished. If praying alone why close at all? If we are to pray continually/unceasingly and have an on-going conversation with God throughout the day , couldn't we just as easily say, "catch ya later," "until next time," etc.

I'm pretty sure you are not surprised to hear I've told God that He rocks, on many an occasion.

I am also a fan of (though haven't used it in prayer to much) of "Peace out!"

We used to call God (will all due respect) the Big Homie when I was at LAIC. :-)

Ah yes, I have a feeling several things I wrote about in this post may cause a few of my brothers and sisters to cringe.

The first time you ever ended a prayer with, "Thanks, God. You rock!", I admit my conservative, Baptist sensibilities cringed a bit. Now, I find it terribly endearing. :)
