Friday Five: What you can’t leave home without

It’s time for Friday Five over at RevGalBlogPals. This week, our friend SingingOwl asked,

“What are the five things you simply must have when you are away from home? And why? Any history or goofy things, or stories?”

  1. Laptop – Gotta have it if I’m going to class or leaving town… not necessary for quick trips to Wal-Mart.
  2. Digital Camera – Absolutely necessary if leaving home… including trips to Wal-Mart. I feel uneasy without my camera as if I’m about to miss a great photo. I hate it when this happens! I should write a post about all the great shots I’ve missed.
  3. Cell Phone – Obviously a necessity.
  4. My ESV Bible – Given to me by Rachel. Julie made the cover out of ACU fabric. The ‘ribbon’ is made of 550 cord. So very cool… It’s a $10 Bible held together with packing tape and cardboard. I love it.
  5. Gray Hoody – I really can’t leave Springfield without this. Even in the summer, one shouldn’t leave home without a favorite hoody. It’s perfect for traveling by car or plane. It folds into the perfect airplane pillow, keeps me warm in freezing airports and cold cars, protects my legs from a burning hot leather seat… not to mention all the possible emergency situations it would help in. That’s a whole other post.

What do you HAVE to take with you when you travel?
