Life under construction

Half of a morning cup

This morning I made half of a cup of coffee… That’s all. I carefully poured my last few beans into the coffee grinder then brewed only six ounces of coffee using the inverted Aeropress method. Ahhh… it’s so good.

Last Christmas I got a Sweet Maria’s gift certificate and bought 8 pounds of green coffee beans. I’ve enjoyed roasting them all year long. Ahh… but it’s all gone.

So tell me, frugal friends, is 42 dollars too much to spend on 11 months of perfect coffee? I haven’t decided yet. I might just start drinking tea. I have a drawer full of random tea bags. Or maybe I’ll barter with a local coffee roaster.

  1. 42 bucks for nearly a year of perfect coffee? Are you joshin’? No, not too much. No indeed! Tea is good too, however. ;-P

  2. Every time you fixed the tea you would be wishing for coffee. Divide it out and you would be spending $3.82 per month. That figures out to be about 13 cents per day. Get the coffee and enjoy.

  3. Even better, I bartered for 5 pounds of green coffee. :) Joel picked it up for me today.

  4. I was so glad to read that Joel pitched in to solve your predicament. A fellow coffee roaster reduced to drinking tea? God forbid!
