Instead of writing a lengthy life update, I’ve decided to post my December facebook status updates… it’ll give you a general idea of what’s going on in my life… or at least demonstrate the extent of my facebook addiction.
1-December
- Amy is sad for her friend.
- Amy is finally feeling well enough to go into public. Watch out world, here I come! *cough cough*.
- Amy took her kids to school and is now *cough cough* having second thoughts about her last status update.
- Amy completed 7 days of Levaquin and 7 days of Amoxil antibiotics and her lungs still make funny noises with each breath. Sigh… also it’s the end of the semester.
- Amy has lots of homework.
2-December
- Amy thinks Alan Hirsch should use more periods and less commas.
- Amy is praying for Dr. McGee.
3-December
- Amy is getting ready for school and actually feeling a bit better… kinda like I have a bad cold instead of pneumonia.
- Amy is going to wear a ‘Christmas’ shirt to class. This is a one time event people… blame it on the medication.
- Amy opened Pandora’s gift wrapped box with the Christmas music and t-shirt… Joel’s bringing home a real Christmas tree… our first in 13 years of marriage.
- Amy is being forced to participate in Christmas Tree activities against her will….
- Amy just got her ASUÂ http://www.army.mil/asu/.
- Amy just heard her son say, “maybe we just shouldn’t have a Christmas tree…it’s too much trouble for us.” After it fell over… AGAIN.
4-December
- Amy needs to write a few papers today.
- Amy listening to Dustin Kensrue and making breakfast.
- Amy listening to Dustin Kensrue and eating breakfast.
- Amy put homework on hold to clean the house… people really shouldn’t live like this.
- Amy has the Christmas tree standing again… and is reapplying the Decor.
- Amy has repaired and Decorated the pagan pine. She will now pay penance for yesterday’s humbug by serving her kids hot chocolate when they get home from school.
- Amy is looking forward to a break from school.
5-December
- Amy really needs to start feeling better. She has an entire semester’s worth of work to do in less than a week.
- Amy is missing Dr. McGee.
- Amy says, “Go Army beat Navy!” Judi last year’s winner has to buy the pizza.

6-December
- Amy is getting ready for the Army Navy game.
- Amy got a fantastic care package from a fantastic friend. I feel better already!
7-December
- Amy was up sick last night and is sooo tired of being sick and sooo tired of missing church.
8-December
- Amy keeps blocking all snowman, snow ball, Christmas gift, Christmas tree, Christmas ornament applications…how many are there?!
- Amy would love to have the mp3 of the message at the AGTS Christmas banquet.
- Amy is going to rent lots of PSP2 video games to keep the kids busy during finals week… good parenting? I don’t know but it’s better than duct tape.
9-December
- Amy is about to study church history and is praying for Dr. McGee.
10-December
- Amy is terribly sad.
11-December
- Amy is missing Dr. McGee but excited for him.
12-December
- Amy woke up 8 minutes before she normally takes the kids to school…
- Amy is still awfully sick.
- Amy needs someone to watch her kids during Dr. McGee’s memorial service Saturday at 1 p.m.
- Amy has lots of homework to do.
- Amy is missing her husband.
13-December
- Amy is getting ready to go to Dr. McGee’s memorial service.
- Amy just got home from Dr. McGee’s memorial service. Thanks to Kayla for watchin’ the kiddos.
14-December
- Amy almost forgot to take the psp game back.
- Amy is listening to all the songs I downloaded in summer of 07.
- Amy just talked to her man on the phone. Goodness, I miss him… [He's only been gone since Friday morning... but he's a good guy and I like to have him around.]
- Amy wants a wood carving set for Christmas… yes I say that every year… No I don’t actually carve wood but maybe that’s cause I don’t have the right tools.
- Amy is making pancakes with her kids… and her kindergartener is totally awesome with fractions.
- Amy is hoping the rest of the day will go much betteer.
- Amy has officially been driven crazy.
- Amy is hungry!
- Amy is drinking out of a 2 Liter bottle cause no one does dishes round these parts any more.
- Amy is studying about suffering.
- Amy is dizzy from tackling her kids during a study break.
- Amy is not taking classes next semester.
- Amy is going to do some dishes, laundry, kid-tucking-in, studying and then go to sleep.
15-December
- Amy disappointed in herself for getting so little done today. Going to sleep.
- Amy is glad the kids still have school today but not exactly looking forward to driving.
- Amy played slip and slide all the way to the elementary school and back.
- Amy makes wonderful coffee.
- Amy is impressed every time she is curious about something, googles it and finds the answer on gentlewhisper.com of all places.
- Amy really enjoyed Dr. McGee’s memorial service at AGTS today.
- Amy is on hold with Geico… someone ran into our car… yeh… fun day. No one got hurt though.
- Amy is finally home, with a rental car and two crazy children.
16-December
- Amy is remembering when her husband was deployed. He’s gone for a week and life is complicated. Oh and I need to call the tow truck.
- Amy says, “Delayed obedience is disobedience.”
- Amy says the tow truck cometh.
- Amy is studying!
- Amy just said, “Find yourself some new Christians and I think you’ll like God better…”
- Amy is studying Chinese Religion and drinking Genmai Cha.
17-December
- Amy is praying for Joy Krajicek’s back.
- Amy has hit that point where she’s not sure if she’s still improving or if she’s actually getting sick again.
- Amy is really upset about insurance, who Tricare will cover and who they won’t.
- Amy believes God works in our unbearable suffering and uncomfortable inconveniences.
- Amy is finally talking to her man on the phone.
18-December
- Amy is in love with a great guy who she happened to marry over 13 years ago.
- Amy is having a hard time thinking of a hilarious, eloquent, inspiring, thought provoking, conversation inducing facebook status.
- Amy is venturing out into the damp frozen wasteland to collect her children from the government provided education known as elementary school.
- Amy is craving some pizza from Za’s in Columbia, SC.
- Amy is torturing her fashion conscious kindergartener by wearing a grey knit hat… she says it doesn’t ‘go with my outfit.’ I told her I’d wear it to her wedding.
- Amy is downloading tons of music from www.noisetrade.com.
- Amy is going to a 2nd grade Christmas play… and forgot to tell Judi when it is… um Sorry… it’s at 7:30.
- Amy may have finally found an effective discipline for Sarah… timeout from her big brother.
- Amy thinks parenting is rather… challenging.
- Amy got to talk to Jami Cook on the phone.
. - Amy just heard her daughter plead, “Do not put it on facebook!!!”
- Amy would really appreciate a babysitter on Friday night.
19-December
- Amy has a sick little boy…
- Amy ’s son thinks his little sister should stay home and take care of him. Sarah is worried about being at school without him. Sometimes they like each other.
- Amy is looking forward to seeing her husband.
- Amy is having a hard time getting motivated.
- Amy ’s boy is feeling better… and now driving her crazy.
- Amy is happy her husband is on his way home!
- Amy is so happy her man came home. I’ve missed him!
- Amy is thinking, “Wow, I can not believe I’m this sick again.”
20-December
- Amy is waking up late on Saturday morning… must be the cough syrup.
- Amy is thinking about getting a mountain bike. Any suggestions?
- Amy is making ’survival bracelets’ out of 550 cord for her nephews.
- Amy is tempted to soak all of Sarah’s shirts in chocolate milk so that the stains won’t show up anymore.








Wow, Amy Jo. That’s a lot a lotta status updates. You update your status waaaay more than I do.
