Catching Fuzzies

I opened the shades and morning light shone across the kitchen.  Soon my children admired the lint dancing in the sunlight.  “Fuzzies,”  they call them.  They  tried to catch the fuzzies in a crystal jar, hoping to watch them float around inside.  I told them it wouldn’t work… that they wouldn’t float with the lid closed, the air wouldn’t move them.  They tried to catch them anyway, planning to watch them fall to the bottom. I told them that the fuzzies are everywhere, that we breathe them in all the time but we can only see them when the light is just right.  Jeremiah asked, “What if the light was always right?”  He answered himself, “Then it wouldn’t be special.”
